Good ::looks at clock:: morning!

Woke up at 4am with a familiar ache starting in my low back. Yep, kidney stone. It took about five hours to move to a less painful position. DS walked Caleb and I fed the ferals on the steps. I'll check on the flocks in a little bit, need to move. I am thankful that every ks I've experienced has been less than a 12 hour ordeal. Ron had them and they'd last for weeks!

Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning and sent me there very quickly.

I've decided that it's like a virus🦠. You catch it very quickly and it takes a long time to get over it. My question is after 44.5 years shouldn't one have built up an immunity?

I'm so sorry to read this. I'll pray for a speedy passing of your unwelcome guests.
Gotta try it! I've forgotten what quiet really is.
What is quiet? I've forgotten too. I'm unsure if the bassing music is in my head or outside at this point. Often it's louder than the ringing in my ears. 🤷‍♀️

Good afternoon all! :frow
The jersey finally calved!!! :weee:weeeA beautiful but a bit too large bull calf for a jersey heifer. Helped her just a little bit to have it. It's hot and she was struggling. Didn't want her to get too exhausted or over heated since she's not out on green pasture right now. He's not the sharpest tool in the shed but he's nursed some. I'll milk the back two quarters this evening and put colostrum away for later use. I'll rotate the last one out and use it for us then keep hers for any emergencies we may have. I've moved the two grafts over but not put them in with her yet. It's hot and they nursed the temporary mom not long before moving them over. Hopefully I don't regret the decision and end up with a fight on my hands grafting them. I just got the smaller of the two stabilized and getting stronger as of yesterday. I'm hoping to somehow keep her from relapsing. Not likely to succeed but I'm going to try. The faster everyone gets settled in and healthy the faster I can get on the road. :celebrate🥳
Just sitting down for the first time since getting up. Having a cold cup of coffee. It's hot outside. About to get over 90* right now. Waiting for the heifer to pass the placenta so I can rub it all over the grafts. I love my life. :lol: Going to start preparing for my trip. Making sure we have enough feed for everyone prepped and ready for DH to take care of the critters. I'm feeling excited but trying to keep that contained at the moment as I know what dairy cows/calves have in store for me.🤦‍♀️Could be weeks before I can leave. Hopefully not.
Ya'll have a fantastic rest of your day! :hugs Time to go check on the new family.

I have to ask my husband if he hears the same thing I'm hearing, because I'm not sure if it's an actual sound or not. Sometimes it's an actual sound, but not always.

I have a non stop ringing in my ears. It never goes away. Oddly enough when I leave CA the non stop bassing music stops 🤔
