One more day until spring break!!!!!!!!!!
Chilly outside this morning, but also it's March in Montana, so I can't really complain.
We have next week off, I'll head to visit my parents for a couple of days on Monday after I get adulting stuff done like going to the DMV.
Today should be a fun day at school. Not much productive will happen, and I think I like it that way occasionally.

In summer, I try to keep a piece of board floating in the big troughs. Birds sometimes get in them & can't get out. The board gives them a rescue spot to climb on, shake off & fly out.

I kept a squirrel stick in it, a long sapling sticking out of the tank. Birds landed on it to get a drink. Squirrels could safely get a drink.

Also good for honey bee's. I should keep a better stick for squirrels. We don't have very many and still manage to get 1 or 2 drowned in summer.

I’m looking for a cinder block or two for a step out. He wants to use the tub but won’t take the plunge. Some of the sheep figured out how to hop up and get a drink. All lambs but three are big enough to get out if they fell in. The regular water bunk is available. I can siphon used water to the fruit trees nearby. Caddo (aloha!) had guard duty in the safe pen last night. Bark, bark, bark. This morning he was lying down with the bottle lamb fast asleep beside him. Didn’t have my phone it would have made a great picture. Have a great day everyone.

Good afternoon all. :frow
Getting ready to head out and get hay. Want to be sure we have enough to get through my next trip for DH. Got some more boxes of kitchen stuff packed yesterday. Big but light boxes. Have more to do but wanted to wash a few things before packing them. It's amazing how dirty things get when they are on top of cabinets and the refrigerator. Still hoping to get out of here next week but that's up to the calves. So far so good but it usually doesn't start right away. Had one liquid movement out of the new calf but treated immediately and it seems to have taken care of it. Plus it's not been quite so hot the last few days. So far I am not having to milk. I am really feeling like all the drama with the two graft calves happened when it did because God knew what we needed to deal with in order to get out of here. Seems he's setting us up with slightly older but smaller sized calves that are already over their issues and eating a bit more than a newborn. Time will tell but that's how it's looking. The new heifer is doing a fantastic job and did just fine with her first milking (colostrum). I have the colostrum in the freeze drier already. Should be done tonight. I'll get it put up and start the next load of lemons I have in the freezer. Still have some lemons to get on trays and get frozen. Oops. I am trying to get everything as processed as possible so I can feel a bit more comfortable packing it all for the next trip and get it home. My dearest friend text me last night. She was thinking about us and said that she thinks that things will start becoming clearer and fall into place now. Then we'll move for good and things will be a little bit chaotic again but we'll be more at peace. Then as we do our day to day things it will get to be normal and we will settle in. I pray she's right. After I read that it hit me that I had been packing and it felt right what I was packing even though it's stressing me out packing more normal day to day things. All that to say I feel like things might be finally falling into place and we are going to start the final push.
Just got done submitting a jury duty excuse letter for my DH. Always a pain. He's the only one on his shift. He can't take unpaid time off. Especially right now. Glad that's done but it's annoying they don't even so much as notify you that you are excused.
I guess i'd better get the stock trailer dropped and the flatbed hooked up so I can get a big load of hay. Y'all have a fantastic afternoon full of blessings! :hugs

Had some rain last night. Not a lot but a good hit, heard it as I was dozing off after going to bed. Coolish weekend temps, 50ish top but warming up Monday. Decent, normal for time of year. Grass prob appreciates the rain and I want the grass growing! First in about a week I think. Bright sun.

Usual stuff -- coffee, then ??? whatever comes up.

Need to deliver eggs to a friend, for sure. The girls are pumping them out!! Can't give away fast enough.

I finally felt good yesterday. I'm over the hump and will continue to heal and feel better from here on. I've been walking every day and that is helping. Still not doing anything outside except feed the dogs and the horse.
Good!!! Keep it up. We want a healed @Baymule !

Same here, I felt the front around sunset as I was walking Caleb, a chilly wind, breezy. Not checked the rain gauge yet.

On the agenda is a run to the farmers' market, walk for Caleb, and possibly a trip to the UPS Store to mail presents to the Grands. The eldest will be 10 :epin a couple weeks! She's discovered the joy of painting so I'm sending some watercolors, brushes, and canvases for serious projects. There's a couple little horse models for the younger granddaughter, a little Unbirthday present. She loves animals.

I recalled a few minutes ago that the senior group at church is going to have lunch together. Guess I'd better get going...
