:yaMilking went amazing tonight.:clap Not one issue.:weee Even the milker stayed on her for the first time. She stood well although she is still wearing the kick bar just to be safe. She even allowed me to doctor her udder rot with zero drama. I think she may have wore herself out all day trying to figure out how to outsmart the setup I got on her. The temporary setup is definitely working. The edema is down quite a bit more tonight. Her being up moving most of the day seemed to be effective. Her wounds don't appear to have been licked much if any at all. Hopefully we are on the right path now. I'm hoping it will only take a day or two for her to get past the licking stage. If she's up walking more that will help the edema go away allowing air to get to the wounds also helping them heal better. She's also starting to eat a lot better. She went through a more normal amount of feed today and ate her grain. Really hope they are all on the mend.
Tomorrow we go sign taxes. I hope this is the worst tax year we ever have. This one hurts. Last full year of paying CA taxes which I'm looking forward to. Called the bank today and closed the trust account. The manager had said DH had to come to do it in person but when I called to see if we needed an apt for tomorrow the lovely gal who helps us often (and opened the trust account) said it was at zero balance so all she needed is DH to say yes please close it over the phone and she would handle it. So now that's done. While I had her on the line I also transferred what was left in our home buying/moving account out and closed that one as well. I'll use what's left to help pay taxes. One less account in CA. It's a CA bank so we'll have to close the accounts once we are moved anyways. Now we are just down to one account left to close. Slowly winding down things here. It feels good. Next trip home I'm hoping to open a new checking account to start using for bills that we have there. Then before we leave here I can just close the account and not have to worry about a new one. We'll already have one established and have the checks for it. Trying to think of these things in advance so there is less hiccups in our transition. Still don't know what bank to go with there though.
The feral kitty was out most of the evening/night. She's coming along well. I'm hoping it won't be much longer and she can be out full time. She's currently snoozing in her pen after all the play time.
I need to go treat the calves and let the little family back out to pasture so I'm going to get off this computer. Y'all have a blessed friday!
:hugs

Find a local credit union. They're generally more personal than banks, and their fees are much lower.

I was a member of a local government and state employees credit union for 25 years. I looked into other options when the local portion was sold. It went to almost online only, AND discontinued paper checks for its checking accounts. I discovered that I qualified for membership with another federal credit union on just my residing in this county. Their interest rates are a little lower than the other credit union, but I can get my paper checks, and they even offered me a credit card, giving me an option if needed.

Not much sleep last night, Zo was having sneezing fits :( poor guy. He's not 100% but doing better. I don't think it was a foxtail because there would have been bloody spray (been there done that). His sneezes are a lot less and not many at one time. I'll be keeping close tabs on him.
Have a great Good Friday everyone.

@SageHill those flowers are lovely. Bright & happy.😁

Eventually, back to sleep. Didn't go to work today. Just not into it with a late start. :idunno no biggie.

Messed around here. Found some potatoes starting to sprout, so I'll let them. Cut, dry & put into grow bags next week. Need to get the garden going...it'll be at least next weekend before I start. A little later than normal & that's ok. With this oil, gas, fertilizer crap going on those groc prices will zoom up too. But I'm good -- plenty of seeds & homemade fertilizers here. 😁😁 Took 8 dz eggs to a friend Wed. At 18-20 a day, I need more family & friends for sharing!

While I've been sick I have been watching RV channels on YouTube.

I know some of you here have RVs, and thought you would appreciate this tech's channel:

I got a lot of adventure stories from my dad, regarding his 30 years of living full time in an RV. I know he would have appreciated her experience and knowledge. I have.
