Coffee anyone ?

Geesh...families have been drinking raw milk for ages!! Sure, it can be contaminated but most family milkers are very clean & careful -- they don't want to be sick! It's a personal decision, IMO. I don't like fish -- no fishermen get upset. Contaminated rivers? That's not a health problem?

People should have choices.

Good afternoon y'all!!! :frow :frow :frow :frow
Well I am finally safely in MO. 5 minutes outside looking around and already found a tick on me. :smackAlready put the full length mirrors that are coming out to use. Now have my pant legs sprayed. Yuck.
So the short version of the trip is that it was excessively stressful. Damaged our trailer and made me so angry and stressed. It made the trip take forever too. Started with a trailer tire blow out (really bad) in the sierra's less than 3 hours from home. DH had checked them with a fine toothed comb so we didn't know what was going on at that point. Changed the tire on the side of the pass. Got back on the road. Got to NV and took a brief nap while waiting for the tire shop to open. Got a replacement and headed back out on the road. Come to find out (long drawn out story short) we had ordered and thought we paid for the upgraded tires when we ordered our trailer and apparently that never happened. I specifically remember the discussion about it. So the trailer had the absolute cheapest tires possible on it. Definitely not rated for the trailer. At about 15 minutes after closing I stopped again to check fluids, tires (was paranoid after the first blow out) and fuel up to find ALL 3 remaining tires were bubbled in the side walls and getting ready to blow. It was after hours so we opted to gimp them down the road until we were close to the next tire shop and where there were a few others around in case they didn't have the tires in stock. Took a brief nap and got to the shop when they opened. Nope. No tires in stock. He called all the shops and no one had them in the state. So he called the next state and they did have them in stock. Gave him the estimated hours until I would be there. Said a prayer and carefully drove on for another 450 miles. Got there and they went to work replacing the remaining tires. Explained what was going on which we pretty much figured out by this time anyways. Upgraded the remaining tires so we are covered and properly rated now. Got back on the road and made it home this morning. So exhausted. Was talking to DH about the trailer and noticed one tire didn't match the first replacement. Oh no. Yep. Tire is the WRONG SIZE! The receipt said the right size but they put the wrong size on. All 3 are wrong. Smaller than the other tire and what they are supposed to be. So waited up until they opened and called and spoke with the manager who was originally who told me to come in and that they had the tires and would get me back on the road quickly. He sounded less than pleased the gal put the wrong tires on. He told me to come back in on my way back to CA and they'd take care of it. I'm trying to hard not to be mad.
Time to go out and unload the trailer and take down the faulty camera's. Hope to get the camera's replaced or fixed this evening. At least partially get the trailer unloaded. I get one extra day with no storms here so that's a blessing we didn't expect. I'd like to get the yard mowed tomorrow so I'm not trying to mow wet tall grass. Then I can pick away at pruning and weed eating. While it's raining i'll plan to head to town for shopping and errands. Hoping to be here the rest of the week and weekend at least. Pending animals in CA stay healthy and stable.
Alright y'all! I'll catch up more on the forum this evening. Want to get going before dark.
Y'all have a blessed evening!

I'm glad you arrived safely, but I'm so sorry it was more of an adventure than you wanted. I'm glad the manager is willing to correct their mistake.

Enjoy your time there, with hopefully no more ticks! :hugs
