Coffee anyone ?

Nothing better than to get a call from the wife saying she slid off the road in a snow storm. They redid the road awhile back as in slap stick job so if you get anywhere near the edge within a foot you lose it snow or dry. She got over for some arsehole, stopped and it started sliding sideways to the point of flipping, ripped a brand new sway bar linkage out.
To top it off throw out bearing went finally "she didn't tell me how bad it was". Throw out bearing is what you use to disengage the clutch on a manual.
Towed it out, stuck it in gear and then cranked it up to get it home for her as she drove my truck.
At least she didn't get hurt.

Good afternoon! I got rolling down the road by 8:15, and Caleb's walk was over as the 9am crowd showed up at the park. Caleb did get a bit antsy, but I just had us sit in the car for about 10 minutes afterwards, and eventually the parade of dog walkers didn't excite him any more.

Cool and breezy this afternoon, and I've been outside preparing the raised beds. Beans, squash, carrots, and lettuce seeds have been planted. Oh, and one of the potted lantanas has been planted as well.

Stayed off work yesterday -- it'll mean longer hrs today but, ok. Got 2 loads of laundry washed, dried, folded & put away. DW run and emptied! 😁 Took 6 dz eggs to my "fig tree" friend....and since making the 20 mile run, checked the Flashfood app for any killer buys. Grabbed chicken breast & pork loin. $6 and I got that canned after returning home. 4 pints chicken, 3 pints of pork. To fill canner, I added 3 pints of dry beans from stock on hand. Plus a few ozs of pork wouldn't fit in jars so I stir fried that with peppers & onion from freezer, from prior garden. I was on a roll :old Did a couple errands while on that trip.

Still cool weather for couple more days. The dramatic week of 90* and now 60* has set the hens into a tailspin. A couple stopped laying & look to be even moulting.😵‍💫 Maybe they had summer & think it's Fall now. These extremes have us all shaking our heads.

Snowed here yesterday, there were a few inches on the ground. But then the sun came out and it melted within an hour. 21 out this morning, high of 45. Real spring here.
Had myself convinced that I don't need to go to the grocery store, and then found myself ordering quite a few things on Amazon. Guess I'll make the fun road trip to get groceries this weekend. I'll be at four weeks since my last trip anyways.
Not much else to report on from here. I guess the idea of a trip to the grocery store is actually big at this point for me

Well the storm clouds from here will come your way,,Iam sorry winter wont quit for you.

coffees done- I actually slept until 5:45,
while the coffee was perking I went out and took the canning jars off the green beans and peas [they keep the mice from eating them over night] opened the coop window and said hi to Goat.
Its 43 out and no sun yesterday and it looks like none today.

yesterday I got my xray and salad and tomatoes at costco , 2x4's and hardware at HD for the greenhouse we are building. I rested the rest of the day, I just didnt want to do much which means I have plenty to get done today.

We went to the park just before 8am, and on the way nearly hit the two :rant dogs that attacked Caleb a couple months ago. They ran across the road in front of me. DF said I should have hit them, problem would have been solved.

It's chilly (45°) and the yard is wet. I can see the grass is growing! Can't mow until it dries out, might take the trimmer for a spin in a few, mow later. And branches need to be picked up, and more garden beds need to be refreshed, and ...

Good evening all.
This trip has been long. Thought I was finished. Was getting ready to pack up and head back for another load then in talking to DH this evening while putting the new plates on the trucks we started questioning the farm truck plate. Seems odd to not have a back plate. Looked it up online and sure enough it's for 150 mile radius and not out of state. It's on the truck that is doing the hauling to and from. Ugh. So tomorrow when I was planning on leaving I'll be going back to the motor vehicle office and see what can of worms ends up being opened there. It's just over 10 hours to the tire shop that needs to put the correct tires on the trailer. That means I have to be there during business hours. I'm not sure when to leave. Need rest too. From tires it's another 20 hour drive. Of course added time for all the fuel stops and likely a nap here and there. Tried to look up weather and mostly it doesn't appear to be awful except minor freezing in WY. It's very hard to plan out weather on a route. I'm learning a lot about unpredictable weather here in MO. That's for sure. The last few days have been wild. Tornado warnings. Crazy rains and the biggest hail I've ever seen. Had to go to the basement 3 times for tornado warnings. Didn't have to get in the shelter but needed to be close. I told DH we absolutely need access to the basement/shelter from the house not go outside, and down to the basement. The lightening here has been non stop. Not what you should walk around in. Learning a lot. Met way too many people. Looking forward to going and getting another load. I'm ready to get this done. DH is ready for me to get back. I think the extra chores are wearing on him. I'd really like to run the mower over the yard one more time before I go. May do that during the day tomorrow. Our insurance gal wants to go out to supper. Might do that, take a nap then head out. Not sure yet. I'm exhausted and heading to bed.
Hope you all have a great night. :hugs
