Coffee anyone ?

Last night I was closing up the greenhouse and fiddling with one of the doors - DH made the regular doors into dutch doors so I need to use the drop latch to secure them at night. Love that. Well, my back was turned as I was getting the drop latch aligned. A BIG noise behind me -- I turned and did a little "eeeee" - not knowing what made the noise (it was a movement type of noise). Aaaaaanddddd what do I see - but a roadrunner skeedaddling out of the greenhouse. I think it was a young one. ROTFL I think we scared each other.

It was foggy when I got up, then almost drizzly when I took the dogs out, and now ...... it's raining and cloudy -- weird.

I got some "exercise" equipment for the dogs that was delivered yesterday - called Fit Paws. I'll mess around with that and Sage today. Should be fun. DH and our ranch help are going to run a waterline to the "Annex" - aka the new night barn (not that it's a barn, but what else do you call it???).

Coffee's almost done, almost time to get a move on.

Night shelter, night shed, night pen...... I like shelter since you don't consider it a barn... anything around here that has a roof and or sides of some sort is a shed or shelter... and our hay barn only has a roof.... just sayin'
:hide:hide;);)

I'm tired today... nuff said!
Nothing better than sitting here on a warm Sunday morning drinking coffee and our cat brings a live bunny upstairs into the house. Yep cheap entertainment.... round and round they go
Unplanned entertainment is usually the best kind... sounds like you're having too much fun...😂

I never knew what to call the building for my horse. 3 sides with a roof. Divided for hay on one side (4 sided, never did add the barn door), horse stall on the other. I called it my horse barn, still do. Even though it's just full of junk now...lol

I've procrastinated long enough. Need to get the lawn mowed, before it gets too hot. We'll be in the low 90's today & tomorrow, then the upper 80's for several days. An early taste of summer. So thankful for my ZTR!

Have a lovely day all! 🌞🌞🌞

@drstratton Your "horse barn is exactly what I had for my horse as a teenager... and we called it the horse barn... but I did eventually have a dutch door stall door put on...but it was split in almost half with hay and grain and stuff in the "feed room"... It was a barn... not fancy, but it housed my horse, and "her stuff"....

Morning all. I think the ewe I lost last month died of frothy bloat. Damn why didn’t I think of that! A dose of olive oil might have saved her. She didn’t present all the symptoms but it should have crossed my mind. New protocol- when in doubt administer olive oil. It can’t hurt. Now I have a bloat block because mornings are very dewy and it doesn’t dry out quickly. This morning Hubbs let the sheep into the dog pen where there were wet legumes galore, I guess we’ll see if the block works. Moses knoshed on it a little. I hope That’s not going to be an issue. I named the roadrunners Nigel and Drusilla. I’m pretty sure I’m misgendering them regularly. Nigel was a roadie for a metal band and through some yet to be explained incident with some yet to be identified psycho active substance, transmogrified into a roadrunner. He’s ok with it. I don’t have Drusilla’s story yet. Have a great day everyone.
