Coffee anyone ?

Yesterday on way home from work, started light rain -- so exciting! 😁 Light but, after a couple of miles, needed wipers!! Couple more miles & it stopped. 😳 Then needed the washer water to clear the MUD off windows :th had been in a dust storm from tractors plowing that morning. Disappointment.

But this morning, we're getting a lovely rain!!! Light and steady. Soak in kind. My area, looks like it'll leave out about noonish and half inch is suggested. Whatever it is, it's appreciated. Especially for the farmers!!

More later -- I'm leaving for work, me & my coffee.

Beautiful weather here. Got to go outside during work yesterday because of a power outage. It was beautiful.
Rain is in the forecast for next week, and that is perfect. For now, I'll enjoy this beautiful weather, and realize how long of a winter we did have.
Coffee is waiting for me downstairs, probably time to head over to work.

Nope, not enough to barely get the ground wet. Just checked the rain gauge, we have MAYBE half a tenth in the 2 different gauges... so .05... it is cloudy but our radar is showing it moving away... much greener on the radar east of the Blue Ridge mtns and to the coast... Yeah, @Mini Horses , @canesisters , @GLENMAR , @secuono getting it...

Ehh? Don't call me out, I'm not sharing the rain! Hasn't actually rained anything worth noting in months.
VA govt finally mentioning the drought, as if I haven't been talking about it for three years now.

Peachzilla. Needs pruning but I don’t know where to start. The YouTube videos I’ve seen show orcharders happily cutting away at whips. This tree on the other hand, look at it. The backstory is this house sat vacant for a time. Evidently enough for the graft (green leaves) of what is a Japanese donut peach (purple leaves) to grow out. The graft bears small, round green peaches that are good to eat. The donut peach is fragile, dropping blooms and fruit prematurely. More pruning homework indicated. Have a good day everyone.

57-78 today. Kinda normal for here now. Forecast for the next is all over the place. Guess that's normal now.
SOOO EXCITED for @Baymule -- it's PUPPY DAY (and pairs well with BIRTHDAY).
Day "off" today so I can work with my dogs, and do some sheep stuff maybe, and of course those dang weeds that were whacked down and those that weren't have been having a grand ol' time with the ~1/2 inch of rain (at most) that we've gotten over the last two weeks :th . And the wild tobacco (nasty icky weed that tries to be a tree) is taking over the turnout pasture -- need to go spray them - crossing fingers the grazon works label says it will.

So??? its a Peach? is it the big green tree or red one? or small green one??
my first thought is gut everything below your chest and then reach up and if you cant reach it with a step stool cut it off,,, if it touches the house cut it off

I keep my fruit trees cut to reachable fruit and not reaching the ground

Oh wow, you've got your work cut out for you on this one. You'll need to take out some large branches and get the height down to where you want it. I'm gong to show this to my husband.

They’re whoppers. They’ve grown since we moved in and I was not able (knee) to deal with them. The dogs love them, from beneath they can see quite a distance, keep cool and enjoy low hanging fruit. I’ll take out the dead and unhealthy branches but I may wait until fall to do the clean up. Any advice appreciated.
