Coffee anyone ?

Good morning everyone! I'm going to be as busy as a bee, taking care of my bees this week, now I just need a bit more of their energy...lol

I'm tired of waking up at 2:30 stressing about bees. I'll be glad when this week is done and I can settle into a smooth year of beekeeping... is there such a thing 🤔

Have a lovely day all! 💗☀️🐝🌺🌻🌸

Good morning all. This weekend was full of unpleasant surprises. I got an unexpected revelation from my SIL about my older brother’s physical and mental health, neither being quite what he told me. Bad news on both fronts. Speaking of fronts, one was forecast for Sunday afternoon. A non event. 30 mph gusts and very small hail possible. What we got resembled a hurricane for about 15 minutes. Horizontal rain and hail, zero visibility. A few miles east was much worse with significant power outages and large trees uprooted. Never a dull moment I guess. Glad I looked at the sky and took precautions. I’m off to check fences, have a good day.

Sorry about your brother. :hugs

Good morning all! Was up earlier than usual, decided to get going to walk at the park, mainly to avoid the calvacade of dogs we experienced last week...Caleb did well last time, especially for seeing 10 dogs at less than 20', but I figured he needed a break. Traffic was horrific, forgot there's an elementary school across the street!

He got to wait for about 15 minutes at the nursery, where I scored, found red pentas, black-eyed Susans, and a purple coneflower to replace the one that didn't survive the winter!

Now, where to plant them...?
:hu:gig

We DO understand 😊 👍. Plus it helps release some stress to voice those concerns. Good for you & we're good sounding boards 😁 if you have some trees or shade barriers at home, that will help them with the heat --- BUT aren't you in CA? Isn't that hot??? Then they'll have time to adjust to cold that will happen a few months after.

Now I'll just have another cup and plan my day. Not a lot to "plan" -- get dressed, go to a store & work the jobs. Pretty cut & dry, until you get there & see their mess. 😄

Yesterday was good, at home. Did a little mowing. Just the strips where I'm putting the new section of hot wire, going into a fenced area waiting to be grazed. I have fri-sun to be home & reset, test the new fence run & let them on it. That frees up another area to work fence, without their help!!

Weather says 40% chance of rain -- .02"
Thank you. :hugs It absolutely does help release stress writing it out and getting other like minded folks opinions. Even if it's on the same topics. Situations change and sometimes re evaluation happens. We just really don't know what is the right decisions.
We do have trees there and ponds which is new to us. There is also some shade from parts of the barn that they can hang out in. We are in CA but that's a dry hot heat. They are moving to hot and humid which is allegedly far different for them. Good point on having time to adjust to the cold.

Good afternoon all! :frow
Been up a bit. Cooked up breakfast meat and got some egg cups cooking in the sous vide. I'm really loving this unit so far. Excited to see how these come out vs how I normally make them in cupcake cups in the oven. It's so nice not to be heating up the house with the oven but still being able to cook these. Added some home made cottage cheese to these ones. Had seen many people putting cottage cheese in them. Apparently Starbucks sells egg bites for stupid amounts of money and people love them. They have cottage cheese in them. So we'll see how these turn out. I have 3 more gallons of skimmed milk clabbering to make more cottage cheese here in another day or two. Slowly loosing some of this weight I'd been putting on over the trust disaster and house purchase. I finally got on the scale today and it wasn't good but honestly better than I expected. Will keep at it. Need to go make coffee for DH. He'll be up soon.
Got the stack of dishes I made done. Will have to put it all away later once it's all dried.
More truck parts showed up today. More delayed. DH has settled on the new tires for the truck. Once we get them on we'll dry run loading the beef cattle. I have an order in for semen this week so should be set up by the time the sync is over. Technically I have enough to squeak by but I don't like cutting it that close. At least at the moment I think getting them bred here and a few weeks early is going to be the best decision right now. The pastures are really drying out now. The over conditioning should start to slow now too. Especially if I can get them bred.
DH just got up. Time to get back to work. Y'all have a great evening! :hugs
