Coffee anyone ?

Thanks, @fuzzi .. but that was not the article... is specifically said the 5 worst tick diseases... I will find it again somewhere...
BUT again, thank you... and everyone should know that with the changes in the seasons, the crazy weather, and all the traveling from place to place, these ticks are getting more and more out of control...
AND, the "conspiracy theory" that ticks have been actually been infected with more of these diseases, to wreak havoc on the population... makes it more believable that there is something more going on... why nearly half of the country has tick related diseases, especially the huge increase in Alpha Gal syndrome...

This is from @Baymule

Not sure of the ratio, hopefully she will comment soon.

I hope you get better quickly.
I have done bleach. I’m on to some oral antibiotics. I am however grateful for advice. I read and learned that wherever poison ivy grow a remedy will grow near by. Presently the remedies are in retreat. Thank you all.

I was shocked by all the "alpha gal friendly" options I saw on my last trip home. That tells me it's really bad. Church had "alpha gal friendly" food options. The farmers market had "alpha gal friendly" options at many of the stalls. I'd not even heard of it until you got it and told us about it. It's devastating so many people.

Good evening all. :frow
Hope y'all had a blessed weekend.
We got some stuff done this weekend. One sale from the CL adds so far. Guy came and bought the stack of 14 aluminum gates. He was excited. He only needed 3 but figured we were trying to get them gone and could make a few bucks on them if he was patient. They were a hoot. Best CL sale I've ever had. He's happy. We're happy to have a huge stack gone. Otherwise just a few ridiculous folks wanting things for free as if I already don't have things priced to move. Another person is supposed to come tomorrow to get a feeder but i don't count on it. Had a person dragging out ridiculous questions for the last 24 hours. It's all I can do not to just start ignoring people when they continue to ask questions that are covered in the listing plain as day. Hopefully things will continue to sell even if it's slowly. I'll likely make up some fliers soon for some of the bigger things and post them at the feed stores etc. I've had far more luck doing that over the years than I have CL.
Trucks finished again and hooked up to the trailer. Things fixed back up on the trailer after the tire blow out. Made new decals for the replacement hub caps. Glad my machine was still here. Right now it seems like it's the little things that make us happy. :idunnoWe're taking cattle and some calves to the auction this week so waiting to start loading the trailer for another run until after that. If all continues to go well with the new calves I just picked up a few days ago for the milk cows I'll hopefully head out in another week or so for another trip home. DH did a lot of service stuff on my truck so I'm hoping to get a few more trips in before he has to start over again.
Need to go finish chores. Hoping to go back to bed early. Not feeling good today. Y'all have a good night and a blessed week! :hugs

Ain't nobody got time for that during a move!

From the Too Much Information Department-
I’ve had a red, itchy rash on my shins all week. Poison ivy lotions don’t work, burn gel helped a little. Actually I think it is poison ivy but a secondary infection scandal has begun. Puppy gave it a sniff and made a face. Antibiotics indicated. Any home remedies for p.i. are welcome. (Maybe I have the Texas version, heck maybe I have fireblight ).
I know 2 people that respond so terribly to poison ivy, that they need steroid pills.

:idunno

This one guy in grad school got it SO BAD!!

He started wearing long sleeve button down shirts with everything buttoned down! Even top collar button. In the Texas heat. And finally one of the grad students asked him what was wrong... he told us that he had had a small spot, not sure where, but it just kept spreading all over him. We made him show us.... he didn't fully strip down... but it was all over his arms and up his neck! It was super red, flaky and oozing blisters. All of us told him "DUDE! THAT IS BAD! GET DRUGS!!"

Anyway, I am not sure what he had tried. I know he said he was spending lots of time soaking in an oatmeal bath.

With all that said, yours doesn't sound that bad. But watch it and if it keeps growing, or starts looking like your skin wants to curl up and die... you might need a round of steroids. When it is that bad pills are way more effective than creams.
