I went to her journal. She is in the San Fernando Valley.

Hopefully she checks in. Worried about her location. The two reservoirs are still empty that were empty last fires down there. They need new leadership down there so badly. No excuse for not having defensive space and water close by available.Has anyone heard from @Ridgetop ??
I'm not sure where she is in relation to the Sandy Fire in Simi Valley -- I think it's north of where she is, but it's not that far from LA. That fire is almost 1400 acres with zero containment.
That's what I thought - Close not good.I went to her journal. She is in the San Fernando Valley.
When you see your fields empty that's a whole 'nother round of reality hitting. It's been decades since I've seen our fields empty.
Good afternoon everyone.
Getting ready to run all the beef cattle through the chute and prepare them for sale. Got them all up and sorted last night. Going to be a rough couple days. It's been decades since I've seen our fields empty. We're going to move some of the dairy cows around and utilize the feed for now once the new grafts are good and on the cows. Hopefully that doesn't take much longer. One cow has taken hers it appears but the smallest one needs to be regulated still for overeating. The other cow (our oldest) is being stubborn for the first few minutes of nursing so she's still needing monitoring. Once the calves that are being weaned are shipped I'll be able to put them in a small pen together and see how it goes.
Really struggling emotionally right now.
Y'all have a blessed night.
I can hardly imagine! Soon you'll be in your new home and all will be whole again. This is photo of the week worthy! Priceless!Poor Ree, I loaded her up in the van and headed out early this morning. An hour and a half (I hate traffic) later we pulled into the vet's parking. It was just a health check, fecal and bloodwork - baseline for the future. She was less than thrilled when she found out where she was. Still a good girl, and she loves our vet - he's truly a great guy, very James Herriot kind of guy (so glad he hasn't retired yet). No results on the tests, but the rest of her checks out AOK.
From there we went to DS & DDIL's because it's sit with Kit day. Ree was pleased at that stop.
She is such a good girl - let Kit grab her, pet her fur, and pat her back. There's no doubt in my mind that Kit will or could climb up next to her, grab one, mumbo jumbo something in her ear and the two of them would wander through the house (his dad did that when he was that age and until he walked on his own at 14 mos).
Yup - they're buds already.
