Coffee anyone ?

You say "long tank top" and I think 60s, 'better not bend over' length. :pop Is it a dress from the 60s?
Nah - from the 90s I think -- goes to the ankle.
ROTFL but I did have short ones eons ago.
What a great accessory! Just take the weed whacker with you!
OMG that's GREAT idea !!
New fob about $600.
OUCH !! And you can't do anything without the darn thing. I wanna go back to a regular key.

Dang -- this thing only opens doors?? I've bought running trucks that didn't cost that much :hide:lol:
That's a months mortgage payment.. Well, won't ever be a worry here...NO new vehicles! It's overwhelming.

There's a bright overcast going on this morning. They say more rain tonight :idunno another wait and see day.

Didn't sleep well at all! Maybe 2 hrs. Gonna be a real struggle day. What's up with this, I'm asking self??:barnie

Me too. Many of the improvements on my car aren’t. The drive mode switch is on the console where I have bumped it with my elbow and unknowingly switched the acceleration from normal to ice and snow mode which “adjusts the throttle and transmission to maintain traction on icy roads”- in other words the car no longer accelerates normally. Eco mode does this too, to save fuel. There is no light or tone to warn that those features have engaged. Only a small icon at the bottom of a crowded display panel. What.Could.Possibly.Go.Wrong. I nearly found out pulling into traffic. I fixed that with duct tape and the lid from a Gold Peak tea bottle. I haven’t even scrolled through all the cra- I mean features, fearing I may turn off something needed or turn on some awful nanny state doo dad.

We had a car with a faulty oxygen sensor. The "check engine" light stayed on even once it was repaired. So I covered the light with a sticky note.
:gig

Two things.

My car says to replace the key fob battery. I did; its still telling me over a year later to replace the battery.:barnie

I have lots and lots of food in my deep pantry. I've gotten comfort by hoarding some oil for our vehicles, while as the same time doing some cost mitigation. The last time I got my synthetic oil changed in late 2024, it was at a local non chain place for $145, we are going to do it ourselves from now on. I can't imagine what it costs now for that oil change at that little place.

If nothing else, go to Walmart... buy the 6 qt BOX of oil... advertised to save on so much plastic going in the landfills... It will cost you about half of what buying it by the qt does... Keep the couple empty qt bottles and fill them at home to reuse... I have been doing that for years. Even getting the gallon plastic jugs and refilling the small qt bottles saves money...

Just got home from the funeral and it rained up there, but we are partly sunny here... (1 1/2 hrs north of here...)

Will post in my journal later, but it is sun/clouds...82 and breezy so pretty nice to get out and do some work. Hoping to take the weed eater and get going around the netting before the surge in grass growth makes it disappear. Calling for more rain this afternoon/eve... then I think it will be more clearing off. We haven't gotten .1 in the last 36 hours... They have had over 4-5 inches up north of here and today's downpour earlier, will really add some more for them.
