Got more weights and poses.

Not only does the choc buck give bad shape, he gave crap growth. 🙄 But others look decent.
Hops and Chick kits suck. Will try again with Tar instead. Might cull them all and not keep any, unless shape is something worthy.

Coral kits

Cruella kits. It's interesting how all of the castors from her line almost always look best.

Gotdamn! Idk wtf, but this is a 💩 show of a litter! Buttons kits.
Profiles may be nice, tops decent, but then the hinds are disastrous!
Almost 9wks, so wtf. 2 are listed, rest I'll watch further, maybe they'll pose better in time.

Another keeper doe ready to breed, but too hot to risk it.

Most of the litters.
Steely, Raven & Penny kits not posed n weighed yet. Steely & Penny kits are outside, almost 9wks, seem small, but since they're mixed together after Penny's death, hard to ID them all. If none end up super great, they'll all be culled, moving away from Penny's line and I'll redo Steely breeding to try again.

Will be traveling a few hours to meet a breeder soon to choose a buck. I'm going to be beyond furious if none have the legs I need and I wasted a whole day. Going to cost me a small fortune as well, but I've realized that I must move away from my breeds to get what I want. Worse still, I noticed I'm going in circles, just a new circle each time. Long led to lean, led to slow, led to extremely narrow legs, so on. I'm currently trapped in the narrow hind leg circle of breeding issues. And I am done with it! 🤬
He's literally going to be the new foundation of both of my breeds and be bred back to his offspring down the line, too. Will have to make sure he lives a long time....
Some examples of their stock. 🤞
Wide, deep, thick, wide! 🤞🙏

So many of mine will be getting the freezer and any recently held back may get tossed in as well.

I am not posing him correctly, plus a 4hr drive through several storms...🫠 Plus, using wide angle to make sure all of him was in frame. Will try again once he's settled in. But you can see how far apart those hocks are! I was so focused in on the hocks, none of the others had them as wide. May of slightly been tunnel vision, too, but I certainly didn't want hocks that didn't impress me! Feeling him, he's wide all along the spine.
19wks & 1day, 4.75mo. 8.66 pounds.

Gah, yeah, he's still bracing forward. Guess I'll have to practice with him until he chills.
Bracing a ton-

Relaxed a bit-
that highest point starting to move back. I need him to chill and rock back onto his hinds.

At least he's not leaning away like crazy! Just a bit and I swooped the far foot in, but so much better than how mine lean like a falling tree. 🫠
I think he looks a bit better here than yesterday, too.

🤦🏽‍♀️ pricey buck has start of ear mites. Ivermectin droplets given. The choc buck has been battling ear mites, oil didn't work, so Ivermectin for him, and since it was there, new guy skipped the oil while I was at it.
It's always something.

So, with the new buck, I had to organize and make decisions. I hate it.
I need more stackers, please! 🙏😭

Then, I found this guy for my 2nd, and first fully pedigreed, Rex buck. 🫣 I've got issues....Scheduling pick up. From same breeder as Cruella, she's turned into a foundation doe for my Rex.
Breeder pics. Loving the loin and those hocks.

Hmmm....🤔🧐
I chose 3 to cull, but then based on growth, one came back. Then I swapped a keeper and a cull bucks places. Idk, I may chicken out, Rew is such a ham and so zen...He's always relaxed and chill, even letting me pet him as is. But the other had better growth rate. We'll see. May breed him to a few more does, then list him.
Found some litters to cull, 2 to watch and decide in the coming weeks.
Oh, culled Buttons out. Her kits look like 💩. If none look decent in the next few weeks, all will be culled out. Though, that choc buck is making me want to keep him just for the color....
