We're getting closer. I fluffed the bottom edge of his butt by accident.

Comparing to random buns of mine...
Top of shoulder to top of knee/hind thigh. Yellow is where his roughly is when not forward and down. Still a lot of depth above it. Actually, his would be at my thumb now that I think about how he felt. Others you can see their edge.
Makes me wonder if depth is partly an illusion ceated by short hind leg bones plus being forward and down. Hmm...

Since Coral had few kits, then lost two of them, I rebred her to the same buck.
She's a great doe, though. Back to back to back breedings and no loss of condition. Can't say the same for a few other Rexs. 😑
7 kits. Sire REW
On the flip-side, Navy failed again... 🫠 And it's hot, so bucks don't wanna do their job.

Tappy looks a lot like Cruella. Are they related?
No. Tappy & Tippy are grade broken chocolate Rex. Breeder i got them from didn't bother with pedigrees of their parents from Vermont. Sucks. :(
Cruella is broken castor and from a different breeder here in Va.

Slated 4 whole litters, a proven doe, a replacement doe and a proven buck to cull buyer, or seller for the older stock if they get lucky.
Might have 2 more whole litters to cull, going to go through them tomorrow to decide.
And the kept buns from Opal and Tippy might be culled. Same with Sky's buck. Checking them again tomorrow, too.

Brought in this blue boy from Cruella's breeder!
He will breed with the Rex, for now, while NZW will breed with the SF. We'll see what they make.

Hmm.
I'll hold onto Opal×Vapor doe, but cull Tippy×G doe.
Sky×G buck I'll hold onto a bit longer...Might just be me attached vs necessary.
Penny & Steely litters...both fully culling out.
Lefty, newer sf choc buck, listing/culling him out. He's too structurally ridiculous to use. All of his kits get his horrible genes. Keeping a choc Jet×Lefty, but none from his other litters. The does' genes aren't strong enough to even try to level out his faults. 😭
Probably going to start culling the largest this coming Friday. Hopefully finish by next Sunday, leaving just the older and adults to find homes for a bit before culling.

Ohhh....DeVil × Lefty, why keep her...?
A mutt and not a great shape. Her mom did balance out sire's ugliness, but still, a mutt...
So, gotta go add that one to the list.

$564 in the green. Minus 400 in rabbits.

Currently $164 in the green.

Lots of colors! But what are they...
Blue otter can't be possible, so what is it?
The coppery one, hmm.
Lilac self? But two have a yellow/green tint???
Then black, is it steel??
I hope they all live, I really want to see what they all end up as!

I'm going to cull out that expensive, disaster choc buck, not sell. He's now gotten nasty towards does and me, bad fur on hocks, tiny, he never grew. He's a mess, never should of bought him and will never buy from that guy again.
