Dinner rabbits, Journal

I know this would be more than a ton of work - but can you make your own ? Alfalfa, and mineral bricks? Dunno anything about feeding rabbits (DS had a couple pet rabbits growing up but that's ancient history). I know it wouldn't be pellets but would still be food you could trust.

$786 in the  green. Plus 4 bun sales at 175.

Currently $961 the  green.

A lot of people in the groups keep talking about it, but few bite the bullet and try it.
Hammer mill and pelletizer, 600-1k each.
I can't really tell if both are needed, as videos seem to show as not needed.
Then local alfalfa hay is crap. I've tried buying it a few times over the years, but only tsc has it that's green and decent. Farmers always have grey horribly stemmy stuff. Idk why.

Others have used alfalfa horse pellets. But it's 16% protein.

Disclaimer : I’m not a rabbit feeding expert. I was just getting into rabbits and learning, but decided they weren’t for me, so I sold the few I had.

I was under the impression that hay was more important for rabbits, and the pelleted feed was supposed to just be a supplement. I made sure my rabbits always had hay, and then I just gave them a measured small amount of pellets each day.

But I don’t know how that would work with a lot of rabbits. Probably still go through a lot of pellets that way. Plus, if you can’t get good alfalfa hay, it might not work. I don’t know if Timothy hay would be better or not?

That's pet rabbit myths.
Complete rabbit pellet is mostly hay, they don't need loose hay. If they did, few would raise them.
