I hardboil, peel, and then drop the perfect eggs into jars of pickle juice, refrigerate. They taste like deviled eggs. I like eggs that have pickled in beet brine! My husband might like that.![]()

Thank you. My husband would definitely like that. I'll have to try it the next time he empties a jar of pickles!I hardboil, peel, and then drop the perfect eggs into jars of pickle juice, refrigerate. They taste like deviled eggs. I like eggs that have pickled in beet brine!
Just be sure to use eggs that don't have breaks or cracks in the white that would allow the brine to reach the yolk. It will muddy up the pickle juice. You can eat the eggs after a couple weeks. I've eaten them at 6 months, they taste fine, just are a little rubbery.Thank you. My husband would definitely like that. I'll have to try it the next time he empties a jar of pickles!
I meant to post this here, not in my beekeeping journal...Oops.
My daughter and SIL gave me this beautiful necklace for my birthday. Yesterday I showed it to my grandson and asked him what it was, he called it a dragonfly, he's into those right now, I corrected him and told him it was a bee. He reached out and gently took it in his little hand, with a sweet look on his face, then he pulled his hand away saying ow, with a mischievous grin. Our little boy is autistic, made my heart swell to see another development in his beautiful little personality.

Hey @Baymule ! I'll ship you some eggs if you don't mind straight run. I had a friend ship me a dozen eggs, 7 hatched and 6 survived. Silas, Esther, Priscilla, and pretty Joanna all came from that generous gift.
Rahab and Tamar both went broody in May 2024, so I slipped those eggs and three newly hatched chicks underneath them!
