I have one who jumps out. BUT she puts herself back in at night! and I've found the "nest" she's using. Rascals!!
Thankfully, she puts herself back in too! She's such a brat! :gig I just worry about dogs coming into my yard. They love to kill my animals.

Some fall color around our yard!

Sadly we will be taking this Sweet Gum down. The roots are lifting the sidewalk near the house. It's such a pretty tree.

I shared this in our coffee group, but want to have it as part of my journal.

Our agenda has changed for a couple of days. We were able to borrow our friends, (son's boss) telehandler. So we can finally move all of the remaining tree stumps hubs cut down, into our burn pit. He will then put the remaining logs on top of that. I'm not sure if he's planning to burn this winter or let them dry out more and burn next year. I think we have 11 more to do today. We also have 2 pine trees to take down. They are leaning towards our deck. And we don't want them to take out any trees in our yard. The winds we get can be hard on trees.

You can see how it's leaning into the tree. The 2nd tree is smaller and behind it. Our Peacock loved perching in this tree. He would launch from the deck and land on his preferred branch. Miss that beautiful boy.

Here's a better angle, that shows how much those trees are leaning.

Leaning trees are not good!
That sweet gum is a nice tree. I’d be tempted to accept the sidewalk and keep the tree.
We might plant one in another location.

I didn't think to share this info. There is another reason I won't mind seeing it go. It has hard, round, very sharp and pokey seed balls that it drops. Not much fun to step on.
