fencing questions

Well DH is off to TSC for all the fence materials as I type this. We decided to go with the goat fence since we are not doing electric at this point. The space we are fencing is about 300 foot so we will end up using most of a roll. We are doing wooden posts for the corners and bracing them and 6 ft T-posts for the rest. It may get started on today, or we may wait till tomorrow to do it since we have a couple other things to do today too.

:celebrate :bun GL on it!! We're doing fencing right now too. lol
You're trying that new high tensile field fence aren't you? One of the reviews I read about it said it was harder to stretch.

Yeah. I guess it is harder but it is alot lighter which helps the people who have to work with it. lol We'll see how it goes.

Now I have a new question. Where do you find a fence stretcher and how much did you pay for yours? I found one for $30 on the TSC site but our local store doesn't carry it and only had a $60 one in stock.

Something like that.

Our hay guy was telling us the old fashion way of fence pulling so we may rig that up to use. He told us how to use 2 oak boards to stretch the fence.

This?

The boards are just 2x4's and the straps are just cargo straps, I think. The ratchet things are the Come-alongs, I spent like 25$ for mine I think.
