Takes too much space with being thicker than the plastic...and of course the fall out of the upright freezer and hit the floor and shatter.... NOOOOOO..... I will freeze liquids and then pop out of plastic and vacuum pack.... and I reuse the vacuum bags since I will cut them a little bigger/longer and then reuse for smaller stuff... Try to get at least 2-3 uses out of each one...I use small cardboard boxes on the freezer shelves to keep things "corralled" so they don't fall out on the floor....
OMG - that's what I do!

Maybe look into souper cubes?
They're that silicone stuff. Made for freezing & reheating. Keeps everything the same size for freezer tetris.

I love using these. When I make bone broth, some goes into quart jars for soup and I put some into the smaller silicone containers, then I can just pop them into a cup and heat it up to drink.

I only put glass jars in the door of my freezer. I also use vacuum bags, I know more plastic. Once it's frozen it's probably not a big deal. Just don't reheat in them.

I ordered a set of four glass containers with lids, to see how they work in my freezer. I will probably use them for the leftovers I save as a "TV Dinner".

Everything in my freezer is plastic, mostly cheap disposable containers, and I just want to at least reduce it.

I will also look into silicone containers.

Just something to think about and research if anyone is interested. I've stopped using ziplocks to store food once they come out of the silicon molds. There's a lawsuit and evidence that ziplock brand knows that their bags (yes even though they say freezer bags) leach plastic in the freezer. Obviously never use them in the microwave either.
