Anybody ever have goat that is so jealous of other goats that she will beat them to half to death every time you touch them(I am exaggerating a bit but you get the idea). My main pygmy Isabelle will not tolerate me even worming the other goat Camillia. I have been working sooo hard to get the little thing to trust me, finally the little one let me just reach over and give her a nice neck rub and Isabelle just nailed into her. If I don't touch the baby they are fine together but the second I give her any kind of love Isabelle just about loses it. She is like a two year old :he

Is there anything I can do to lessen this stupid aggression...So far I have for the most part ignored Isabelle when she does this and just limited how much attention I give the little one but this is just no working for me...I don't want her to think every time I come out there she is going to get a beating(I am not talking about a serious goat throw down, just a couple of really hard hits to the gut anytime I touch her, it is very frustrating.)

Isabelle is about 6 or 7 months old, Camillia is about 3 or 4 months(possibly five) They are near in size and height, but Camillia is definitely the baby of the couple...

Both still "babies" then. I would try to give them both attention at the same time. Sort of one on each side of you. See if Isabelle will realize that she is not being ignored.

I had a similar situation with my bucklings...the smaller, younger one eventually decided he wasn't gonna take the "crap" anymore and that was that...my buck barn is now a happy place (I have 3 bucks).

Thanks, I will try this for a bit and see if it makes a difference, it is just sooo very frustrating when your trying to trim a goats hooves and the other goat keeps pawing you to death and trying to ram the other to kingdom come.
*Sigh* There is a reason why I jokingly call her "Lady Isabelle", she thinks the whole world revolves around her...

Sounds just like my Alpine kid "Hot Sauce". She's all of 30 pounds and tried to take on my yearling buck earlier because I was scratching his neck. She gets super jealous when I touch another goat, and she will ram them and then try to climb in my lap. When she does it, I spray her with a water bottle and ignore her a while. It doesn't seem to get through to her though...but then again, nothing does when she is determined to do something.

 I'm starting to think that jealousy is a natural condition with goats, They are so Silly, and to think people think animals don't have emotions, who ever said that never spent a full day with a goat ;)

I don't think my troubles are going to last much longer though, I noticed the little one starting to stand up for herself, she gave Isabelle a good knock to the head and considering the fact that shes the one with horns I am thinking things are gonna start sorting themselves out...only time will tell :fl

I have a buck that gets jealous. He is jealous of ANY attention a doe or any other goat gets. One time I was doing hooves on doe, she was pressed against the fence outside the buck fence. He was trying to bite her. Then, when she was put back in the fence, he chased her around and around being mean to her. We finally locked him away from the other goats. Since then he is not around the does, only the bucks. Yes, jealousy is very much in some goats.
