Sounds like excellent newborn behavior has already been taught/learned.

Hera is settling in to farm and warming up to me. She will come up and request cuddles. Hera is still really stiff in the morning but doing relatively okay. No off farm adventures since I set a east fence line separating really bad section of north fence line. She seems less tense now that is fixed.

Leonidas is shaping up well under her tutelage. They seem to get along well other than morning, "I'm aching GET OUT of my face" vs puppy energy mismatch. They tend to rest together separately about 50 ft apart in general vicinity of flock.

You've done really good with 2 "new to you" dogs coming, so close together time wise, to your place... from totally different situations... I am glad that they are both settling in as well as they have... nothing is perfect... but it seems you have done real well to help them make the transitions....

Can you give her some of the stuff advertised for people with joint problems? I know they have t for dogs because I have seen the ads.

I am working on it. She doesn't like being held to take pills and picked out the first version when put in food. Next try will be a liquid that I can squirt on kibble as flavor gravy.

Not sure what happened but Hera took off fast. Went down creek at back edge of property all the way to coworkers then came back.


Stuck at work for another hour before I can go check...

Something was wrong and she took care of it. "Trust your dog" is the mantra I use.

So section of old fence I had across water gap north of pond is gone. Washed into pond I guess? It was there Sunday, sigh.

I see racoon prints and several sizes of "dog" prints. Some slow spacing, some really deep squished at high speed.
