Hi and welcome from near the Texas Gulf Coast. Doesn't this latest storm just blow???? I've been trying to get my garden going but since our weather is bi-'polar' this year it's made things tough!
 
:welcome Hi from North Texas! Yes, this last storm was lousy. I hope it didn't kill everything I've already planted. We covered the garden beds with a bunch of straw, but now it's the waiting game.

I know everyone back East has it much worse than we do here, but I've been spoiled living here the past 6 years, and I'm definitely ready for the sunshine! :cool:
 
BTW, how you are you liking your keets? Have you had guineas before? We love ours! Noisy, noisy birds, but so funny and lovable. Great alarms too! Lol - sometimes our LGD even takes cues from them when they sound an alarm.
 
They, keets and chicks are right at 1 week old. So far I love them! Thanks for the welcomes!
 
I haven't set out much yet, so most of my seedlings are right now basking in the glow of fake fluorescent sunshine. I read them a bedtime story and dressed them in their flannel jammies. :love My English peas were planted in January, been snowed on twice, iced stormed and I was able to cover them up with oak leaves and protected them. This morning they were encased in ice. The warm weather lately had them shooting up about 8" and starting to climb. This morning they looked like they had been on an all night drunk and got caught out in the storm. They laid over real pitiful. This afternoon, ice was gone and they were perking up. :fl
