By knitting up a bunch of panels that you later sew together.
Except I'm doing one big back panel and one big front panel instead of two each, don't understand why they want me to make it in fourths...
Then two pieces for the hood.
Technically, it was open front with one top button, but that should be called a hooded button down vest instead...

Going to tweak the hood, too. Since most are either not tall enough or not deep enough, heck, some are both. Idk what people walk around with their shoulders permanently shrugged for that to fit and many people have ponytails, so not being deep enough is very annoying, too.

Finished the back panel yesterday. Started the front one.

Trying to get a pic to show its true colors, it keeps that alternating color pattern or maybe gradient is that right word...idk.
But more than half done with the front panel.

Skipped a purl row at the start of the 2nd panel, oops. Didn't notice until I was nearly done.
