Fk wind, while we're at it....
All of the good wool, gone! All of the wool left to process, strewn all over the place. Fk nature.
Also....it flipped wood?? My poor corn
Was able to salvage the black fleece

Too hot to be outside, so I got the only worthy fleece of 2025 cleaned and out drying!
Staggered 2 pots so it didn't take all day long! 5 loads, though, should of done 6.
Had previously let nature rain on it a long while, then brought it up to the house to hose more mud out of it. There was still mud left in the pots, but final hot tap rinse got it out.

Well, one black fleece is crappy, but I have to get this mofo blanket done!
Half ready to spin, working on the other half.

Finished the first fleece.
Dug up a greyed spotted fleece to do next. It's not broken like the other, but it does have more lanolin in it.

I think this is Magnemite's fleece. Smells a bit rammy and the bicolor. Plus, it's huge, I'm still not done! Close, but more to go.....

Finished the ram fleece.
Found a black one, washed, but too much lanolin. Rewashing it.


Gah, this is also so tedious!
It's not a huge hundreds yard roving...so, I have to predraft a chunk, spin, wind it up and tie off and then start again...

Missing my mini clamps, which is slowing me down, too.
Also don’t know how many yards I need to finish the blanket. Don’t want to make too much...

So, you're eventually going to have a blanket from this wool? Does it have a specific, or designated use? Lot of work, it seems. Our ancestors were very patient to do this as sole means of yarns.

New to this thread. I have my Racka fleece still. It’s hung from a rafters in the barn since 7 July. It’s long and weedy. Is there anything I can do with it ( besides the Bigfoot souvenirs I joked about)? Racka fleece is coarse and used mostly for rugs
