Lab/Great Dane Puppy!

You beat me to saying that!
@Baymule with a stirrup extension could you still throw your leg over the saddle?? I've never used one.
never used one either. When I mentioned he was a high step to get on to the lady I got him from, she said use a mounting block. I told her there is no mounting block in my environment. I plan on riding Max on trails, on the dirt roads around here, not in a ring in circles.

Oh to be younger we wouldn't need anything!!

With me hurting my back on February 2 and also pulling a hernia in my groin, I've been down and not able to do my normal heavy stuff. Had hernia surgery March 18 and have to recover from that, then I should be good to go. My son has been between jobs and has been a God send to me. He is a crane operator and just happened to take time off and has been taking care of the sheep for me. Part of that is going to the feed store and getting the super bag of feed, 1200 pounds. I normally bail it into 5 gallon buckets and dump in metal trash cans and 55 gallon barrels. He just scoops with the 5 gallon bucket, it works for him.

So Carson LOVES trips to the feed store. His favorite there is Lindsey because she makes a big deal over him, lots of petting, baby talk, and he's the greatest dog in the world. He sucks it up like a vacuum cleaner. Layne and Carson went to the feed store this week. When they walked in, Lindsey was coming around the counter and exclaimed, "CARSON!!!!" And he ran right to her. She loved on him, talked to him and gave him treats. Layne got ready to go and Carson refused to go out the door with him. Nope. Not going. Lindsey had to walk Carson to the truck and he jumped in the back seat.
