If Bruno gets out, how will you keep Hera in? Having her go to subdivision would be bad. Especially since you said she doesn't like people.

@Ridgetop Bruno's fence issue is separate from the sheep area. The main 12 acres has every identified hole patched and hot wire along the bottom and across back to woods. The front corner with road frontage is cut off with electric fence as well. The dividing fence between home acre and sheep is 2"x4" no climb with hot wire on bottom. That "gate" is overlapping cattle panels.

Since I got tracker on Bruno last week, I've found many of his escape routes and closed them. The road frontage fence is in bad shape due to trees falling and water people digging up lines. They seem to think cutting person's fence is no big deal. The last set shocked the **** out of himself on my hot wire set 1ft inside the woven. The last spot I've tracked him was limboing thru the main bar style gate. It now has 4"x4" wire on it.

Putting an end to Bruno’s escapes! Yay on shocking the water guy! They cut your fence? I’d be making phone calls raising a lot of noise.

Absolutely! Cutting livestock fence is a big NO NO in ranch areas. Utility company would be liable for any damages if livestock got out onto road, etc. Definitely a phone call and a letter written in. Letters are often more effective since it is a visible record of a complaint.

2023 Review
I tripled my sheep operation this year, 3 to 9 adult ewes. I also made decision to go with registered sheep. My first registerable 100% lamb was born in November. Six more ewes are due.

I’d say that you have made tremendous progress. It was such a short time ago that you and family came to the farm in Lindale to look at sheep. I made a wonderful friend that day and I’m proud of all that you have accomplished.

Have you been hammered by the storms? Tornado warnings are expiring in next 15 minutes. Thankfully to the east of me. Had 40-50 MPH winds, still gusting hard. Will go out in about 30 minutes to do evening chores. And look at rain gauge. Hard rains all day.
