It didn't land in the center and it's stuck on one side, so couldn't move the ring. When Zim wanders off to the other side of the pasture, then I can sneak in and get the ring free.
But they can reach to eat on one side, so it'll work for now.
I knew it!!!
Started cooking dinner, turned and spotted a stranger at the window. Scared me less!
Turns out, Zim was stuck in the feeder...
Yeah, I knew it would happen, but didn't think he was in a rush to strangle himself into my freezer!
Failed to manhandle him free, because of course they can get in, but *never* back out themselves!
Ran back to the house to get the metal grinder. Got cattle? Buy a grinder! Non-negotiable.
Covered him with plastic to limit burns and got him free. Husband distracted the moron while I cut three more pipe sections out to prevent another entrapment. Others are covered by the tarp, so, for now, they should be fine to stay as is.... Will see if I have scrap wood to wire the other triangles closed.
And, second time stuck. Two more pipes cut. Supposed to rain tomorrow, another tarp put up, since he shredded the first.
Guiller-moo watching, he's not stupid like Zim is, it seems.
