Plus don't forget about the extra freezer and the back up battery power for the solar just to avoid the electric bill going through the roof.Free food is great -- be sure they are only a block away to get it each day. Until you see it, it doesn't make an impression on how much room you need to store it all. Buy that extra frig.
I seriously wish but since my dad passed away my mom hasn't really been wanting to do anything to even be around me unless I go to her. I'm planning on asking a ton of questions from everyone here and all of the sister sites here. I'm still trying to get my garden done the way I want it to be and then obtain a pressure cooker. I am not even close to saying that I will not be successful in my choice to be self reliant and help my family get there just the same. Right now I'm just happy to have my chickens, dogs, ducks, garden, and rabbit. Of course my family is greatly appreciated and important to me as well. I'm considering culling all of the aggressive animals and just keeping the good ones.
