Noisy cud?

Is it normal for a goats cud to sound something like firm Silly Putty when they chew it?

Well, it is a mass of wet chewed up food, so yes. I should add that the only sound mine usually make is a *crunch crunch* sound while they chew it, but it is normal to hear slurpy noises from all the saliva and rumen fluid.
