Normal disbudding?

Just wondering if this looks normal.. I've googled images of disbudded goats but haven't seen any like mine.. So I'm just checking with the experienced folks... Also, why does it look like there's metal? The silver part? When will it start healing? I've not noticed a single change since I got him a week ago.

The metallic looking stuff is something that was sprayed on. I'm not sure what it is called, though. Probably antibacterial.

The silver color is probably Alu shield (or whatever it's called lol).

We don't use it but many breeders will spray it on the goat after disbudding.

They burned twice on each side to help prevent any re growth.

Keep an eye on that one on the left
I see some pink skin down at the bottom

Sometimes you can get a little infection at the skin

Can just spray a little first aid spray on it

So he's been scratching his head on his brothers as well as branches and stuff.. Then I woke up to his bud looking like this... Normal? I've kept antibiotic ointment on it...

yes. Looks like the cap just came off. Mine do that too. Looks good.
