Hi again!

Ok, the first time I noticed Mandie was in heat, she was screaming her head off, wagging her tail and acting all sweet (she's usually evil), and she started to mount her mother like she's a buck. Now she does this all the time! Is this normal goat behavior?

Kisses mounted Betty once. I think sometimes it's just a, "who's on top" sorta thing.
Dominance or the top goat. :frow

My "second" in power doe, who really wants to be herd queen tries this with the herd queen all the time. It usually is followed by some ritualistic head butting and then the real queen gets tired of it, gives # 2 THE LOOK, and it all settles down til next time. It is probably just a case of hormones kicking up the need for dominance. The fact that it is her mother, makes me think it may be time for a changing of the guard in your herd.....or at least you have a goat that thinks so.

We only have two goats, Millie and Mandie, so there won't be much changing going on here.....:/

Sorry, I read it to say that she was no longer in heat. That she is makes the difference between your answers and mine.
