I have an 11 month old Nigeeian Dwarf who had her first freshening in March. The kid only nursed from her right teat, as he had trouble latching on to her left teat because there isca bump on it. We started milking her left teat because it was really full and the kid nursed the right side. Two days after selling her kid, the right side it totally dry! We tried to milk it, but nothing. It has been a week or two ans it has never refilled. What happened?

If the teat wasn't milked at all for 2 days, it told her body to stop producing on that side... so she did.

Oddly enough... the 2 teats, and 2 sides of the udder, do NOT actually work together. As in.... if only one side is milked, only one side will produce.

But we did milk that side! The day after we sold her kid we milked both sides.
