Pigs might fly

Well they did today from Toronto to Vancouver. The two little gilts are now on another flight from Vancouver to North BC We stayed with them upto the last minute and the new owners are waiting at the other end. Last week a little boar of ours went to his new home in Manitoba

They are in their new surroundings and the new owners are very happy with the 2 piglets. They sent us a pic of them in their bed snugged up after a very long 2 flights journey

Well you have to travel far and wide to find good LB's so the flight costs for the 2 pigs was very reasonable considering how much I spent in gas when collecting mine 2 years back and I have to hit the road for some more soon. So pleased to help breeders of this endangered pig breed

Congratulations Royd Glad they all arrived safely. Sometimes flying pigs can be cheaper but not sure what the rules are up there in Canada? Here you can only pug one piglet per crate. Cost is normally $250 to $350 per pig so if you are buying multiple pigs it can be cheaper to drive to get them.

Cornish - yes same here one crate = one pig its a shame as the little guys would have loved to have traveled in the same crate instead of squeeling out for each other
