Portable milking machine

We just started milking our goats two of them gave birth this week so we started training them do you get up on the milk stand. It was a battle to get them to stay but eventually I was able to get some milk out.
Can anyone suggest a portable milking machine hopefully one that is battery powered or something that I can use without having to put a 400 yard extension cord to it. Any help will be much appreciated.

Ok so after some research I found a list t make a milker with a hand pump, I actually have most of this things on hand. What is the consensus on the effectiveness of this and does it bother/affect the goat in any way?

Welcome glad you joined us! We purchased and use the Udderly EZ milker for the does we milk and it works well for us. I think a few others on here might have made their own, @Devonviolet comes to mind.

We ordered a hand pump from ebay, it works ok but I like the one I made myself a little better, its a little more powerful or I guess it pulls a vacuum faster and I put a gauge in there to make sure I don't pump too much.
We keep the kids with their moms and they do take a lot of the milk but if we still milk them I think they'll produce a little more and when we pull the babies then we should have a good bit more milk. Btw we still don't know when its a good time to pull the kids away, I thought they should be there a few weeks and then we can start separating them during the day.

What breed of goats do you have? We don't have the set up to separate all the kids from dams for milking purposes so we just share. Since we have mostly Nigerian Dwarf goats all boys are weaned by 7 weeks to avoid potential re-breeding of dams and doelings. I know that there are others who will separate the kids overnight, milk the does in the morning and then put everyone back together for the day.

We have a mixture of Nubian with lamancha and to some degree Nigerian dwarf goats. Most of them look like a Nubian but they're built is different or I could say they look like a really big Nigerian dwarf.
So far we've been sharing my I thought about separating them and see if we can get more milk that way.

You can separate the kids when they are a couple of weeks old without any problems.
Sometimes the milk doesn't taste good for a couple of weeks any way.
Most separate over night and milk in the am.

How much did you give for it? All I can find are the corded type.

It was only $38, it's a good idea but I made one myself and it works much better.
All you need is a mason jar, 1/4" ID food grade silicone hose and a 30ml syringe, if you want to make it for two teats then you'll need a second syringe and a 1/4" T.
I'll take a picture of what I made, it's very simple and works great. We took about half a gallon from two does (or is the term dam) today after separating them from the babies for 4 hours.

I been using a Danish milker l(pertty sure that's the brand) it works great when it works however that being said one of my does it doesn't work for her teats are extra large when she full and it just doesn't fit her correctly even with the larger of the cups for the teats... Once I milk her about half way it will work but at that point I just finished hand milking.
