DDIL2 doesn't want to leave the northeast San Fernando Valley. Even though her parents have retired back to the Phillipines to live there for 6 months of the year they have kept their house in Panorama City ne SFV) and she wants to stay close to that house since the parents will be living there when they come back for visits. Also a couple of her sisters are living in the house. She would actually be fine with moving back into her parents' house and staying there. Extended family living together is the Philipino way which is why she was fine with living with us in our house for the past 5 years. The area in Panorama City is mostly neighborhoods from the 1950s - lots of tiny tract homes for post war GIs starting their families. The lots are small ad the houses have been added on to in various ways. Most of the under $1million homes in SFV is that way. I would love for the to move hear us but she wants to be close to the sisters still iving in the parets home, She has 5 sisters and one brother. 3 of the sisters and the brother have moved to other locations for work but she won't leave the area. They also have to be close to freeways because DS2 can be working anywhere in the southern CA area.

Personally, I think they should rent a place for a year or so while interest rates drop more. Also since they only know Shadow Hills and Panorama City they don't know what other areas would be like. DS2 says he doesn't want to pay someone else's mortgge for them.

At least he is taking DH with him to look at the properties. DH already steered him away from a couple that had really bad problems with their remodels. Since the HGTV reno programs everyone thinks they are a builder and can make big money renovating before selling. Some of the renos are horrendous! LOL

Back again after a week with DD2 and Annabel. Helped DD2 apply for SSI for Annabel. Lost of forms and she finally finished with all the information and sent it in but but she needs to call and set an appointment. None are availabe so she has to call every day at 9am to try to get an appointment! They went home last night - Annabel is back in school today. Exhausting! I am not sure if Annabel is just autistic level 3 (worst) or is also HD as well. Either way she is difficult to deal with, does not eat, barely sleeps and is not potty trained at 4 1/2. :( Pretty as a picture and very loving.

Anyway the fellows are loaded and DH has 2 more days of doctor visits before they can leave. DH said we will have to come out at least one more time to load up and clear away stuff. It will be good to have them back home.

DS2 and DDIL2 found a house they liked and were going to go see it again today were cancelled. It sold out from under them. The one we found for them that sounded perfect also sold before they schedued a visit. DS2 got hold of the VA and was told he could go to 1.1 million. They are hoping to find something in that price range. So sad.

Thw weather has changed and is lovely and warm with a light breeze (sometimes strong breeze). Very pleasant We had a thunder and lightning storm wth heavy rain on Saturday. It didn't rain all day but we did get several inches. :) Hoping for some more pasture growth before the cold weather hits. I checked with the co-op and they have a good clover alng with rye grass for pasture over seeding. Once the fellows are back we will move the old hay bles into the grazed down fields, roll them out and get ready to seed through them. DH wants to run over the hay with the shredder first to chop the hay up. I am not sure that is necessary, we'll see how it works. Then the extension guy said to just broadcast the seed over the rolled out hay bale strips. Hopefully it will work. The clover is some new variety of ball clover that has stronger stems and carries over year to year with self-seeding ability. It is also supposed to be very high in nutrition. :fl

DH called today to warn me about a big storm moving towards us. 5-6" of rain expected. I checked my phone weather app for Yantis and only 70% chance of rain with thunder and lightning storms on Friday and Saturday. Apparently the storm is coming up from New Mexico and they will be driving through it. I told him to take 3 full days for the trip out with the bad weather. Not sure if he will listen but hopefully DS1 will be cautious. They wil be pulling the 24' gooseneck loaded with half the trailer loaded stuff from the storage units and half with alfalfa from Arizona. Hopefuly they will make is home by the weekend. DH sai they will park the trailer and unload after the rainstorm. Last time he warned me about a "huge" storm we had a couple hours of rain interspersed with sunny periods. He watches the weather channel and gets all worked up about the weather. Sweet of him to call and "warn me". LOL The pregnant ewes can get into the barn and the open ewes have a giant tree to shelter under. The horses have a lot of trees around the pond. Dogs will hole up in the barn or their houses on the back porch. I have a generator and lots of food.

DS1 bought 5 tri tips and had DS2 cook them on his Trager. The are bringing them back frozen and I had to clear out space in the freezer for them. I guess I will have to eat all the Blue Bell to make room. :drool:lol:
