Still not sure what you are calling "free roam". Do you mean they go in a fenced pasture to roam around? Or ou turn them out without any fences to wander around and graze? If no fences how do you keep them safe from wandering dogs and coyotes? Not to mention the other larger predators in Montana.

Please specify what you mean by "free roam".

Yes as long as they can't get into the stalls (not their minerals) when you don't want them to and as Ridgetop said specify free roam. This is if the free roam is still fenced. Also the pasture being big enough to take the expansion.
