It was a fun morning today! New addition....
He settled in about a mile into the ride home. Kind of fun driving home with a lamb in the back.
An occasional baaaaaaaaa at a few stop lights - wondered if anyone heard - LOL especially since that was driving through some trendy places
.
Settling into his stall with the ladies on the other side of the double fence barrier.
The ewes saying 'Let him out!" "He's kinda cute"
Registered St Croix ram lamb. He's not too sure about me - LOL he had to be caught and carrier into the van - I'm good with a crook
. He will learn about animal crackers - either while he is separated, or by example. Since he's just one, I opted to let him see the other sheep. A few weeks ago it was the CA Red ewe and the lamb and they kept each other company. With just the single ram lamb I thought it would be best he sort of had some pals.
Not 100% sure where I'm going with all this - hair, wool, what-the-heck -- time will tell. Still raising for freezers, still grazing, all that stays the same.
Oh and that little red ewe lamb - OMG putting my hands on her is a feast for the fingers in the wool - sooo soft!!!
