I like lambing in cooler weather. But then I’m fighting rain and mud. In the heat, it’s 90 shades of He!!. Pick your poison.

Too bad about the dead lamb. It happens, we’ve all done it. I don’t go in unless a ewe presents a problem.

I watch for placenta drop....if none soon, I go in.

Strange hair-ish?? This lil guy was born this way - just peach-fuzz around his eyes. It hasn't filled in with real hair. In the sun it looks pink/skin color because the fuzz is so light. Thoughts? All the other sheep and lambs look normal. He's not a keeper.

It’s nothing to worry about. Sometimes people post pictures of the hair all gone around the eyes, but it grows in and is ok.

First time lambing Mocha released her prisoners! Two ram lambs - 8.0 and 7.0 lbs and colorful twins at that! And -- more than likely not staying here.
