Whiner tried to kill my girl Cheeks. She's alive and inside right now. She's eating and she did take a couple of small sips of water. He tore her back feathers out. I'm just happy she's alive and now it's raining here.

Cheeks is walking around and talking to me. I know she wants to be outside but until I feel better about the open skin showing, I don't want a mouse, 1 of the other girls, flies and Whiner getting to her back.

I changed the dressing on Cheeks and she's healing beautifully. I'm keeping it covered because of the flies. My husband surprised me today because he asked me if I was letting her out to walk around the house. I just about fell over sitting in my chair. My husband has acted like he could care less about the chickens so I was almost in shock. I told him she's not potty trained like a dog. He said I don't care she needs to get out of the crate and walk around so you need to take her out and let her walk around. AMAZING DAY
