Are you sure Zo hurt himself or hashe been reading BYH? "Hmmm? Ozel got time off and babying. . . . maybe it will work for me. Nope, those working dogs will work half dead or even if their foot is hanging off their leg. Finally brought Ozel inside one night because she was howling to join the others who were having a great time barking at some would-be predator.

HA - yeah he definitely did something to that toe. Poor boy is pining away, well sort of. He's always ready to play and he is definitely pouting when anyone goes to the barn, let alone work. He stands so nice and pretty on all four -- saying "nuthin's wrong, I'm fine" but --- while his paw is on the floor there's not a lot of weight on it. He's a faker - faker that it doesn't hurt!

I believe in a heaven where I will be with my loved ones - including my dogs and horses. I am planning on RIDING over the rainbow bridge on Dazzle with my dogs leaping and bounding around me. Then I will have a wonderful time playing bridge with DH and those I loved in this life. LOL
I really hope it"s true :hit

Well, tonight the ladies and lambs (as I call them) were no better at getting in the trailer than they were in the afternoon. ARGH -- there's 3 ewe lambs and Silver in that group who will be making the trip. Wish me luck. I can catch and carry the ewe lambs - Silver is another story. We all know what a joy she has been lately, time to see if she'll do a final show of defiance. I'll get the ram lamb in first, all of my local buyers are now accounted for.
Wish me luck!

Is there a paid subscription to a camera in the loading area? :hide 😂 Seriously though we've been there. Always a pain in the bum. Sorry they aren't cooperating.

Does your trailer door not open all the way ? not just the slider side? We never use the slider on ours except to let a single animal off... Granted the cows are bigger, but even with the feeder calves, and used to be with the hogs... always opened the full door... doesn't feel like a trap that way.... A couple of days of the full open door, seeing you put feed in there, would make it easier to be there and them not nervous for you to quickly, swing it shut before they realize.... a determined sheep wanting off would come through you with that smaller door and really hurt you.

It has the slider and also opens all the way. There's also a divider inside the trailer so they'll be on the other side of that with it shut before I close the slider. The sheep are all used to me being around them, they also know and respect the stock stick and rattle paddle. Good advice about using the whole swing door. The trailer is backed up to the corral about 4 ft from the fence and gate - the big door wouldn't open fully the way it's set up. I'm using the 4 ft Premier panels as a chute into the trailer.
