Hi all. One of my sheep has a swollen face; this started today. She normally pushes all the sheep away from her but she isn't doing that. My mom thinks it may be an allergic reaction to something the ewe ate. I thought it was bottle jaw at first because she has a lump under her chin. When I felt the lump, it was solid.

It could be a bee sting. Around here I'll occasionally find bees in the water buckets - a few years ago one of my ewes was stung, similar area. After a day or two the swelling went away.
Have no idea where you are so that may or may not be an issue. You might want to put about were you are in your profile - something other than Mars.

Sounds like a bite of some sort with the swelling on the face going away. Jaw is the lowest point and would be the last to go down. That is assuming there was no evidence of bottle jaw before this.
