Lambing started right on schedule as Pixie was cleaning off a single ewe lamb when I went down to the stall this morning. She was smart enough to be in the dry stall when she started to deliver her lamb.

We weighed Pixies lamb while we were down this afternoon and it is 11 lbs 2 ounces so it's probably a good thing she had a single. We thought Pixie had Mastitis but it tured out to be a plug so we milked her out on the larger side.

Red is obviously the other picture. His show name was Reflections'.

Congratulations on the real nice lamb. Red is quite a looker. I can see pretty colored lambs coming your way. Eye candy!

Oshi must have taken a smoke break after Pixie since there are no new lambs. The nights are supposed to be down in the 20's for the next few days so they are probably waiting for that.

An update on my shoulder replacement: I have worked it out enough that I am back to where it is useable but still heading toward full use. It may not seem to be a big deal but I'm at the point where I can carry the 5 gallon jugs of water with my left arm but can assist with my right. I carried some 5 gallon gas cans yesterday and there was no pain so I'm happy. Those seem like mundane things but since it has been so slow (to me), I'm happy to finally see the progress.

The mundane when you are able becomes a huge effort when you are not able. To get to where you are now is a huge improvement. Congratulations on all the therapy and efforts you have put in to reach this level of activity again.

We went out to feed the sheep and to get caught up on the triplets and set of twins born yesterday. We normally don't give feed to the girls the last month before they lamb since it all seems to go to the lambs and they get big but this year we were forced to give them feed. The twins we weighed this morning were 10lbs 5 ounces and 10 lbs two ounces. The triplets were 9-5, 10-2 and 11-6 which is why we don't like to give feed but Myah is fortunately one of our biggest ewes.

Teresa was gone all day going to pick up the youngest Grandson but 5 ewes gave birth. Since they all decided to give birth in the stall, I couldn't tell which lambs belonged to which ewe. My best guess is there was one set of triplets and two sets of twins along with two singles. That will all be sorted out tomorrow. I continue to be amazed with these sheep that give birth in 20 degree temps and still keep coming up for crackers.

Will she go in there and ask them who had which lambs? And they will come up to her one by one and show off their particular offspring??? They know you are only good for animal crackers; she is the one that they will tell their personal info to....
