Now I have kept my equipment running unlike last year where it kept getting damage, I will make 6 figures this year finally. Business is expanding, wife is wanting to get goats, piglets running around, the fire department has contracted a company that goes around brush cutting to thin peoples property out and they are here doing mine now.

Maybe come winter I can give the middle finger to wrench turning as much as last winter and stay home doing my own thing i.e. welding. They finally found someone to "take my place" but I doubt it. In college or something like that, won't start till September and doesn't have a CDL, though wants one.
I'm going to call it now, he will hang around long enough for a CDL and run for the hills to go trucking cause it's easier than wrenching.

Did you learn all this in the military?
Nope, all self learned. I was infantry in the military.
The heck with the aluminum - that floor iron looks intriguing !!
Junior I beam is what it's called and very useless as I have found out over the years. Some claim to build trailers with them, I know engineering that it's a waste of time.

“And the truth is that all veterans pay with their lives. Some pay all at once, while others pay over a lifetime.”

Yes. I watched my brother trying to deal with things, a Marine, Viet Nam veteran. Had PTSD, his wife had to sleep in another room, his dreams caused him to flail and fight in his sleep. His last years were sickly, he had Shy-Dragens disease, called something else now. He lost all muscle control until he could only wiggle his eyebrows, then not even that. He was disabled, had a wound on his lower leg that never healed, bone grafts didn’t take and he was crippled. Yeah, he paid the rest of his life.
