Busy! Won't be long before the white stuff settles in up there.
Restructuring and getting ready for the next chapter of events, getting a business plan in. Building our house is in there too and hoping we get a reprieve with buying one of the parcels. If not then we got more value to this place.

One of the things I like about you - you don't back down, you think it out, and DO. WTG!

Sounds like a plan! Cross Timbers Bison on youtube has some great videos of them working their herd. It's suprising how much sturdier things need to be for bison.
OMG all the awesome equipment! OK I must be a fencing and equipment junkie -- LOVE that hydraulic pusher on the skid steer. OMG WOWZERS.

I had already planned out for drill stem 2 7/8" pipe for fencing posts no matter which direction of animal we went, difference is in spacing and height. With highland cattle a 20' span was fine with 5.5' posts only 4.5' tall, with bison it needs to be 12' span and 6' tall. Was going to go with sucker rod for rails between them, but that will be saved for the corral area. I seen with these wildfires we are going through anywhere we can to put a firebreak in and it doesn't matter what fence is in the way, if we can't cut it we plowed through it.
My advantage over bison owners or any farm/ranch... I weld, I can fabricate, I have tools that most don't have with experience and I can fix about anything. Nothing is contracted out.

I'm amazed that the corral panels held them in.

Hopefully you can have a area to contain them in with a firebreak all around it.

There are bison outside of Lufkin that I've seen passing by, they have several white ones.

I like the heavy duty squeeze chute. My vets have a hydraulic one that cost almost $50,000. It is freaking awesome, and adjusts down to sheep size! I don't see one of those in my immediate future......or ever!
