Pigs eat meat. You can never lose sight of that. Feral hogs are dangerous, so are domestic hogs.

If a pig was squealing like it was scared or hurt, they would all come to the "rescue"... and I had a couple otherwise very easy going sows get upset and want to attack when they thought a pig was being hurt.

Pigs will attack in a group if they think one of the herd is being hurt. Sows with piglets are the most dangerous, but all pigs can be dangerous. We had 7 pigs in a group we were raising as Fair pigs, and wheh they got to a certain size wI forbade the chidren to go in the pen to feed the hogs. Just like Baymule, we built J-feeders and fed from outside the pen. We turned the hogs out one at a time to weigh them every week but only when DH was there to help me. We used pig boards and still had to be careful with the hogs. They li;;ed and ate our goose, and one of them tried to savage all of us anytime it was out of the pen. After that group of hogs were sold and slaughtered we only ever raised one or two at a time.

This device will push any size fence post you can throw at it in the ground, just don't use it on T posts. Made for compacting, but I'm going to make it multipurpose.
Weighs about 2100 lbs and can apply 24k lbs of compacting force. I bet it can crunch the rock up we have here.
