I'm just getting into goats. I'm getting two boer wethers this year, in a few weeks actually. I'm just wondering where everyone buys their meds? I've looked at Hoegger and Valley vet (actually bought a show collar from VV). I really want to know if Hoegger is good with delivery and if they're competitively priced.

Thank you in advance!

I use Jeffers as well for most of what I get.
I've found the prices better and free shipping on orders over 50$.

The things I can *only* get from Hoegger, I try to make a list and only order 1 time a year to prevent repeat shipping costs.

What would be things you could only get from hoeggers? I know I have seen a small bag of ammonium chloride on the website. Since we'll only have two goats I think a smaller bag would be better

That'd be one of the things....(AC).

Also a few cheese making / dairy supplies.

I'm lucky enough to have a local Walco. So, they have my prescriptions on file and I can just run in there when I need a certain medicine. It's so wonderful not to have to worry about shipping time, and to just go pick something up when I need it.

I have to order very little, when I do I've used Caprine Supply.

I use Jeffers too. And sometimes PBS animals health. I look for deals they are offering to...they all offer something. But I usually go to Jeffers. Anything big like water buckets etc..I get at tractor supply or blue seal around here.

Good luck with your new goaties!! You'll fall in love Im sure!! I did quick! And you'll be amazed how a few becomes many fast!!! :gig

I would suggest making a "must have on hand" list for common uses. Like Vitamin B, antibiotics, terramycin oinment, blue kote, probiotics etc...things you know you will use and not have to wait for if the time comes.

Thank you all so much! I didn't even know about Jeffers, so thank you for letting me know about them.

@Emmetts Dairy: I'm sure I'll fall in love with them fast... seems like that with every other animal I get. I have most of the stuff for them already. I'm so excited! :D
