why does my pig wet and soil his hay. i clean it once a month, he has ton of run space,food and new water 2 times a day.

If you have room, put fresh hay/straw in a place as far away from the soiled stuff as you can get. He may move his bed, begin to nest there, and continue to soil the original stuff.
