I had one cortizone/steriod shot in my knee when I was 21. I had a tumor in my knee and the shot made it dissolve. I continued to have problems with that knee all my life. I would limp for a few months, then walk ok, then limp, then not. I took every supplement known to mankind, most did nothing. When I finally got knee replacement surgery, it was a blessing.

I remember way back when I was training/showing horses there were some folks who injected I ~think cortisone into the knees or hocks of the horses. That stuff totally destroyed the joints eating away at the bone/joint tissue. Not good stuff. This is back in the day of the Jaynes etc. Don't know if they did it or who did - just the rumor mill around the show barns.

Yeah. I’m gonna need the secon hip replaced. I just don’t want to go through yet another surgery. I just want relief from the agony it’s causing. Right now I’m getting by ok, until I’m not
Personally, I would go through another hip surgery if I was in pain. Problem is it would be my redo, as my THR is 16 years old and will need replacement at some point.

They wouldn't do the one knee when I was 50 due to the "life expectancy"... 15-20 years... I went through the prolo and PRP and then stem cell to get by. Then the ankle was so bad did it first... best thing I ever did... now the "new joints" are supposed to last 20-30 years....
I'm overweight, got the all metal hip. I was in a wheelchair by the time I had my surgery, so putting it off for a few years wasn't realistic.

Wow -- y'all's "sharing" just makes me SO thankful I've still got all my working original parts!!
