I've rented cars with the lane and distance avoidance features. You can turn them off.

The weather is that time of year that I don't care for at all but things keep moving. We brought the sheep in and got caught up with ear tags for the lambs. They were surprisingly tame this year but all of the ewes are super tame.

We really like a lot of things about Teresa's new car but there are a few things that are annoying. I'm not sure about all of the technology but we were coming back from having lunch for our Anniversary and coming down the driveway. We were coming past the pasture where all of the ewes are in that haven't had their lambs yet and of course I was looking to see if any lambs had been born. The car told me to "keep your eyes on the road". I have no idea how many cameras this car has but I have no idea how it new that I was looking at the sheep rather than the road,

My car tells me to keep my hand on the steering wheel, when it is on the steering wheel, just not where it thinks it should be. I've heard about what your car does, that's a bit too much...lol

My van (aka dog mobile) doesn't say anything. Oh wait - it does a loud warning beep if you're approaching a stopped car and flashes BRAKE on the dash screen. But it does have a heated steering wheel, and the seat is heated and ... yes airconditioned (and if it's hot out it will turn it on when you start the van). I like my van. The only annoying thing - oh wait thingS -- on a hill it rolls back when in drive after you've stopped (good think I know how to drive a clutch or it wouldn't be pretty) service guys say that's the way it should be (HA HA HA - and they'd probably try to sell me a bridge), and the defroster isn't great - fogs windows more than clears them. BUT I still like it.
Mine is just a message that flashes and beeps, but I still tell it to shut up and mind it's own business...
