tonight it is storming again and we had too do chores in the rain and lightning. right now I am waiting for the pigs too finish eating so we can put them back in their pen

later this evening the vet is coming to give all the animals going to state fair a paper that says that the animals are healthy and can go and while the vet is here she is going to look at waffles face because he is still swelled up it has gone down a tiny bit but still pretty swelled up

I agree. This could actually be very serious. The swelling is from restriction of blood flow. It is possible that the injury is from potential tissue damage, which could lead to complications and trauma. Freeing it in such a way may have caused more damage, but I would have done the same in that life-threatening situation. Tell us what the vet said!

(Edit: I am no professional in cattle, I figure this from basic anatomy.)

It is sounding like I will go to the Sweet 16 show :) I think i will unless it is super hot or storming since she is a Hampshire they get this thing called dippity which is this rash they get on their back if they get too stressed. the person we got the hamps from told us that they might get dippity since none of us knew about that and that they might get stressed from storms and our pigs live outside and the guy we bought them from turns the radio on for his pigs during the storms. we thought we would have to build pens in our shop to put the hamps there when storming so we could maybe play a radio for them but it has stormed a lot and they don't seem to care too much
