After Peggy and Bennett left, I came in to work on paperwork for Buford. I gathered information last night, called Erick Conard twice, emailed the team of documents to my other email account and printed them out. That was a process. I downloaded them and they went somewhere, I didn’t know where. Documents don’t leave tracks, no scent, no sound, no blood trail. Just gone. I haven’t used my laptop much and still don’t know the fine points of documents and where they go. I wandered around, getting frustrated and accidentally found them. I printed them all out. I started filling them out, getting information from Erick and going through Buford’s file. I was getting stupid tired about 8:30, so I quit. Back on it this morning after the tree crunching the chainsaw.

I finished filling out the paper documents. I had to call Erick again. Once I had the documents filled out, it was time to fill them out on my phone email. Oh joy. The places I had to fill out were highlighted. That helped. I emailed them back, one by one. That was also a process. There is no “click here to send dog documents to vet clinic”. No. That led me to touch this, nothing, touch that, screen went blank. Gone. Go find document again. Fill it out again. Tap around and finally it swhooshed and went somewhere. Hopefully back where it came from. I repeated that process 9 or 37 times, getting lost every time. One document never got there, it was sent to me again. I filled it out again and stumbled around again until I did something right and was rewarded by that Schwoosh sound. Maybe it went back to the vet clinic. At least it went somewhere.

What is all this ream of paperwork, lost emails, disappearing documents and information gathering, you ask?

It is for taking Buford to the vet in Houston to be collected for AI. The rancher type of AI, not the other kind. I’m turning the straws over to Erick Conard, who insists that Buford be collected for his valuable genetics. Erick is paying for everything. Yeah, my Buford. My Buford that I bought off Craigslist for a ridiculous price that Erick laughs about. In his opinion, Buford should have been priced in the thousands not the hundreds. And who is Erick Conard? A breeder of show quality, champions, working Anatolians, for over 40 years. @Ridgetop and her husband buy their dogs from him and they introduced me to him.

There is a 9 page document explaining what the clinic is and not is, responsible for. There’s a couple pages for ownership and identification of the dog. There is a Stud Health document, Stud Dog Legacy-in redneck words-Who you gonna will the semen to when you die? Record of Collection, Semen Freeze Packet Checklist, Owner of Semen, plus 6 more.

I’m telling y’all, ol’ Baymule’s brains were fried. I had no idea “collecting” a dog was such a legal mish -mash of conglomeration, it might as well been in Latin. An appointment will be made, Buford had better get with the program and ahem….. allow himself to be molested.
They make things so much more complicated than they need to. Sounds like you got it done! 💞

Downloads used to go to the Downloads folder. Now they sit open on a webpage until you download them again. This morning I was trying to save contracts for my residents, files opened but the "save" was ghosted. So...I clicked on print, and found the "save to PDF" option.

It's too convoluted. :he

Erick has a female he wants to breed Buford to and told me to pick a puppy. His friend in Virginia also wants to breed her female to Buford and Erick told me to pick a puppy. Both are grand champions with scores of grand champions in their bloodline. Erick was musing about breeding one of the puppies that not only isn’t born yet but not even an embryo yet, female not even pregnant yet, and said unconceived puppies not 2 years old yet…… to one of his champion males that’s been dead over 10 years.

I've read that you like an arnica cream for bruising and saw this... would it be better/more effective?

Just a wee bit more than curious.
thanks!

It might be, but I like the cream already made and in a tube. To each their own.

A new puppy! 💞💗💞 I wonder what Buford will think of that and I'm sure he'll deny it's his, I mean he doesn't remember having any fun... :gig
